Supports small and mid-sized organizations for arts projects in all disciplines that extend the reach of the arts to underserved populations. The program expands the support that in past grant cycles has been made available through: Challenge America- Access to the Arts Fast Track Review Grants, and is best suited to projects that are smaller in scale and shorter in duration than other funding categories under the Grants for Arts projects category. Organizations may only submit one application under the Grants for Arts Projects program. Awards provide $10,000. Program: Grants for Arts Projects: Learning in the Arts for Children and Youth

Agency: National Endowment for the Arts

Funds projects that help children & youth (5-18) acquire knowledge, skills, & understanding of the arts consistent with national, state, or local arts education standards. Experience, study, performance, and assessment of art related projects is strongly emphasized. No research. Projects may take place in school-based or community-based settings. Program: Save America's Treasures: Historic Preservation

Agency: National Endowment for the Arts

Available for preservation/conservation work on nat'l/significant intellectual & cultural artifacts & collections & on nat'l significant historic
properties. Grants require a dollar-for-dollar, non-Fed match. The minimum grant request for collections projects is $25,000 Federal share; the minimum grant request for historic property projects is $125,000 Federal share. The maximum grant request for all projects is $700,000 Federal share. Details available in March, deadline expected for mid-May. See
